Who Is My Bondi Hypnotherapist

Hi, I'm Claire Addis, founder of My Bondi Hypnotherapist.

With a background in data-driven consumer behaviour and a strategic mindset, I spent many years behind the scenes helping people understand what drives change, always wanting a more personal connection to that process. When life brought its own challenges, I gained firsthand experience of the emotional patterns and stresses that can shape how we think, feel and respond.

That personal journey led me to train and build a practice in Clinical Hypnotherapy and Strategic Psychotherapy. What began as curiosity became a passion for helping people break free from anxiety, habits and unhelpful thought patterns so they can live with more calm, clarity and confidence.

Today, I work with clients across Waverley, Bondi and online, using evidence-based methods that are practical, goal-focused and tailored to each person. Sessions are designed to help you make real, lasting shifts that go beyond insight and become change you can feel.

My work is grounded in professional training, ethics and continuous learning. I stay connected to associations that uphold high standards of practice in Clinical Hypnotherapy and Strategic Psychotherapy across Australia.

Strategic Psychotherapy is a practical, focused approach that helps you understand how your problem is maintained and how to change it.

We explore the patterns that keep you stuck, uncover your strengths, and build tools you can use in daily life for real, lasting change.

Clinical Hypnosis

Clinical Hypnosis works alongside Strategic Psychotherapy to strengthen change. In a relaxed, focused state, your mind becomes more open to positive suggestions and new perspectives.

It’s a gentle, collaborative process where you remain fully in control while connecting logic and emotion for calm and lasting results.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)

NLP explores how your thoughts, language and habits influence your emotions and actions. It helps you notice and reshape the patterns that drive your responses.

Neuro – how your mind and body process experiences through the senses.
Linguistic – the words, tone, and nonverbal communication that shape your perspective.
Programming – the habits and automatic reactions you can re-train for better results.

How We’ll Work Together

Each session is designed around you. Together we use Strategic Psychotherapy, Clinical Hypnosis, and NLP. These are practical, client-focused approaches that help you understand patterns, calm your mind, and create change that lasts.

Strategic Psychotherapy

Strategic Psychotherapy focuses on how you do the problem rather than why it began. By asking clear how questions, we quickly map the patterns that keep it going and identify what to change.

We use the Gordian Pillars as a guide. These include self organising filters, cognitive styles, environmental triggers, and discrimination skills. This helps us target the right levers so you can make the fastest and most direct progress.

Clinical Hypnosis

Hypnosis is a relaxed, focused state of awareness. It feels similar to meditation or being absorbed in a book. You remain fully aware and in control the entire time.

While in this state, I offer tailored suggestions that help you understand the problem differently and rehearse more helpful responses. This supports calm, clarity, and change that lasts.

Neuro Linguistic Programming

NLP explores how thoughts, language, and habits shape emotion and action. It helps you notice and reshape patterns so you respond in more helpful ways.
